Its always a pleasure (garden) never a chore contributing to this wonderful biannual publication.

Each issue focuses on a particular locale and details the green space within it.  Its my job to create a kind of abstract map to accompany the writing.. this edition features beautiful Kyoto, Japan.

Podcast Interview // 'Greater Than 11%' by Renee Sutherland

Greater Than 11% is a podcast created by the impressive Renee Vaughan Sutherland, reflecting on creative roles, journeys and opportunities.  Its title was sparked by a statistic she heard at a Creative Equals event in May 2018... that at that point in time only 11% of women held the role of Creative Director within the media industry.  Alarmed by this statistic, she set about interviewing a broad range of women about their own creative roles.  And the journeys & skills required to carry out their job.  I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, reflecting on my creative path and how I arrived at where i am today.  I think you can tell if you listen here : ) !

'Large Black Abstract #01' / Hand Made in Britain

Myself & Steven Bateman ('Look Up Prints') will be sharing a stand at 'Hand Made in Britain' this coming June.  Situated in the beautiful grounds of 'Waterperry Gardens' just outside Oxford, it opens on Thursday 27th June for 4 days, closing 5pm on Sunday 30th June. 

I will be releasing a new, bespoke, large scale edition.. a whopping 145 cms in height & 114 cms in width its my biggest hand pulled silkscreen yet.  There are just ten in the edition.. Come see us & see it in the flesh, along with many other printed editions.  All info here

'In Touch Magazine' / Editorial Commission

Finally I can share this editorial commission, created back in November 2018.

The concept was for the cover to show a traditional 'Bethlehem Star' quilt design but with a contemporary twist. Turning it in to a silkscreen print allowed for a formal, symmetrical pattern to be enhanced by a few #happyaccidents ! and a spot of fluroescent ink.  I loved making this artwork : )
